Legend of the Candy Cane

The legend of the candy cane goes that a candymaker wanted to create a candy that would celebrate his faith. He incorporated many symbols into his candy:

• White represents Jesus' purity
• Red represents the blood Jesus shed
• The candy is shaped like a J to represent the name of Jesus
• When the candy cane is turned upside down it resembles the staff of the Good Shepherd
